When installed in conjunction with the FAKRO ZWMP Weather Module, the FAKRO ZWD Wind Sensor is a convenient device that’s designed to detect extreme wind changes. When mounted on a rooftop area, it can record wind speeds and notify any Z-Wave compatible windows to close upon reaching high speeds.

The FAKRO Z-Wave ZWK10 Wall Controller is a smart device that enables you to manage several aspects of your home. Through radio communication processing, the FAKRO Z-Wave ZWK10 Wall Controller can interact with 10 devices at once, split into 5 different communication channels (2 devices for 1 channel). You can also categorize devices into 10 independent groups, based on their location and functionality around the home.

The FAKRO Z-Wave ZWK10 Wall Controller can also be customized to operate as a PRIMARY controller for a single radio network, or as a SECONDARY controller for a pre-existing network.

Configuring the controller to operate with each device is a simple process. Each device around the home is given a unique number (known as ‘NodeID’) and calibrated to operate on a single Z-Wave™ radio network (called ‘HomeID’).

Featuring a magnetic wall holder, the FAKRO Z-Wave ZWK10 Wall Controller can be mounted onto any location around the home for quick and easy access. This convenient, all-in-one-solution can operate multiple FAKRO and Z-Wave related products.

Description

The FAKRO Z-Wave™ ZWMP Weather Module is the primary component for monitoring outside weather conditions along with offering compatibility with a variety of Z-Wave™ home automation gateways. When installed in conjunction with the FAKRO ZRD Rain Sensor and FAKRO ZWD Wind Sensor they can automatically close windows upon detecting wind or rainfall. 

• Easy to install and include in your existing Z-Wave™ network setup
• Compatible with the FAKRO ZRD Rain Sensor FAKRO ZWD Wind Sensor Thermostat and other external devices
• Automatically sends closure requests to electronic shutters windows and skylights upon detecting rain or wind
• Can work as a Primary or Secondary controller
• Easily programmable to communicate with compatible Z-Wave gateways

Providing a central unit for monitoring changing weather conditions the FAKRO Z-Wave ZWMP Weather Module takes full advantage of the Z-Wave™ system to allow for seamless inclusion into the home environment.

Including the ZWMP Weather Module into the Z-Wave system is simply using your Z-Wave Controller for the device to be recognized. From there each shutter/window or skylight installation can be programmed to interact with the ZWMP Weather Module which will allow it to respond to changing weather conditions. The ZWMP Weather Module contains three digital inputs which allow various external devices to be plugged in (ie. Rain and wind sensors time switch thermostat etc). With a working range of up to 40 meters the ZWMP Weather Module can seamlessly interact with other Z-Wave devices around the household.
