The CD34 Series Mopole antenna is specifically designed to be used in a variety of mounting positions such as a vehicle mirror gutter or roof rack. Mounting in such positions the CD34 is the ideal substitute for an antenna which would normally need to be mounted in the centre of a metal roof to obtain maximum efficiency.
The CD34 antenna is an end-fed dipole (1/2 wave) with a tuned circuit incorporated in the base and a fully moulded radiating element. The end result is a tremendously rugged antenna suited for almost any application.
This CD34-71-00 is the (330mm) whip only and screws onto a UHF / MBC Base / SO239 connector.

The RFI CD34-71-53 UHF CB (477 MHz) Mopole™ Antenna offers superior performance with a 4 dBi gain perfect for CB Radio communications. The antenna has an MBC mount and 5.0 Mtr cable with an FME connection for maximum reliability - making it an ideal choice for both indoor and outdoor applications.

When the CD50-65-70 gets mounted on a vehicle gutter or similar position these UHF MopolesTM provide optimum performance with a largely omni-directional pattern. Due to the low angle of radiation inherent in the dipole antenna pattern a 4.0 dB improvement in performance is typical when compared to a 3 wave whip in the centre of a metal roof.
The end fed design of the UHF MopolesTM incorporates a truly unique transformer in the base section. In this patented feed assembly the dielectric of the coaxial feeder cable is trimmed to a set length and then introduced into the coil in termination. The result is a precisely matched feed which is so consistent that tuning to frequency from a chart becomes a matter of course.
CD50 antennas have an elegant and durable tapered stainless steel whip section.
There are two styles of mounting arrangements offered. The CD50-xx-70 and CD51-xx-70 versions mount via a threaded stud and nut assembly. The antenna can be easily terminated tuned and re-terminated in the field using the instructions supplied. Its patented design allows the coaxial cable to be replaced in the field without specialised tools or soldering.
The CD50-xx-50 and CD51-xx-50 versions mate with the MBC coaxial base providing an internal permanent connection in a completely sealed unit. The MBC base is easy to install and allows the entire antenna to be removed and replaced at will.

This antenna is extremely robust in design with the patented PCB designed radiating element housed in a black or white (CD5000 W) fibreglass radome fitted to an integral heavy duty electro-polished stainless steel spring.

When the CD50/CD51 gets mounted on a vehicle gutter or similar position these UHF Mopoles provide optimum performance with a largely omni-directional pattern. Due to the low angle of radiation inherent in the dipole antenna pattern a 4.0 dB improvement in performance is typical when compared to a 3 wave whip in the centre of a metal roof.
The end fed design of the UHF Mopoles incorporates a truly unique transformer in the base section. In this patented feed assembly the dielectric of the coaxial feeder cable is trimmed to a set length and then introduced into the coil in termination. The result is a precisely matched feed which is so consistent that tuning to frequency from a chart becomes a matter of course.
- CD51 antennas are fitted with a flexible nylon radome over a copper element - ideal in industrial applications.
- CD50 antennas have an elegant and durable tapered stainless steel whip section.
There are two styles of mounting arrangements offered. The CD50-xx-70 and CD51-xx-70 versions mount via a threaded stud and nut assembly. The antenna can be easily terminated tuned and re-terminated in the field using the instructions supplied. Its patented design allows the coaxial cable to be replaced in the field without specialised tools or soldering.
The CD50-xx-50 and CD51-xx-50 versions mate with the MBC coaxial base providing an internal permanent connection in a completely sealed unit. The MBC base is easy to install and allows the entire antenna to be removed and replaced at will.

This extraordinary performance is made possible by the use of an exclusive (and patented) high impedance matching circuit in the base coil. This allows the end feeding of the collinear whip section a 5/8 over 1/2 wave radiator wound from a single piece of high resilience 17-7PH stainless steel.
